He’s obviously a teenager, so he’s going to dress how a teen dresses. Especially a teen whose just going to pick up his new gf and meet her parents 
And you can tell by the outfit that he’s one of them punk rock/anime black teens
..instead of being one of the other 98% of 2024 black male teens who would’ve showed up with tattoos all over them and their pants sagging.
