It's not like he's fukkin MLK or something.

You don't miss out on anything in life not knowing who Paul McCartney is.
True but the point is I bet those people who don't know who McCartney is don't truly know what MLK did for society. All they probably know was that he was a civil rights leader and did the I have a dream speech....people need to acknowledge history and educate themselves is all I'm saying

MJ captured the hearts of all sorts of people. Even if you weren't a pop fan you could fukk with michaels music. When I worked with kids even the little 5 yr olds knew who Michael was when we played it and they could jam to him. The Beatles were huge but their audience is more for white people. I legit can't think of Beatles song even though I know I've heard them. Plus what kid through young adulthood is listening to the Beatles these days?
:ehh:true but like you said you've heard a Beatles song but you just can't name it and even if you never really have gotten into the Beatles 2 people who mostly everyone knows that are associated with them are John Lennon and Paul McCartney....I thought everyone knew that its like 30-40 years from now will people not know who Jay-z or Diddy is?

This is just how things work. It's just like a cassette tape. If I showed a small child it they would have no clue what it was but to me it seems so funny because when I was a kids it's what I had to use before I got my first CD player.

It's kinda sad, we're in an age where information is literally at our fingertips, yet people are more ignorant than ever (on a variety of topics).
Yep.

I wanted to ask just how young were these kids but if they can get on twitter and use a smartphone, they can use Google :manny:

Its not even about the beatles or paul McCartney but why is it that kids of the 80's all know these old school musicians/comedians/athletes/ etc.. from earlier then the 60's. Whats next someone gonna talk about whos Mozart and beethoveen? Kids nowadays total disregard of the past is bizarre.

But the headline ill agree is ridiculous.
