A) insinuating? I thought that it was blatantly clear.

B) This isn't an ottis redding or Janis Joplin situation. Thug's objectively a terrible singer. He's just really creative with the melodies in his hooks.

Aside from that, Vocal improvisations are nothing new. Improvising melodies as you sing is nothing new. Bringing it to HipHop might be. But, sometime soon, another rapper, with a better voice, will build on what Thug started and reap all the rewards.

Vocal/melody improvisation in hip hop is nothing new either. Black Thought on DYWM?!, The Fugees, The Pharcyde, and even Buckshot began playing with their voices and playing them like jazz instruments over tracks. The OP is just pointing out that Thugga does the same thing. He just makes that his M.O. and is pretty damn great at it.

Calling out his lyricism or his muddled delivery..

His voice is meant to deliver melodies that run concurrent to the beat, not just rap over it in the traditional sense.
