nah..that man was taught boxing from archie moore, dikk sadler, and doc broadus...foreman could box

young foreman actually utilized a jab and had footwork...he was able to consistently cut the ring off on fighters....fighters with bad footwork can't do that

he also had pretty effective defense..the cross armed defense from archie moore and being able to push off and extended his arms out if someone got into his range to keep them or dissuaded them from coming in if they got in from his jab...he was so strong that it was effective...he did that alot actually..he never shied away from the rough housing

Wilder is an olympic medalist, imagine not only competing in the olympcs put winning a medal when you started boxing at the age of 21, and people having the nerve to say you can't box, or think they know more about boxing than you do

This is the state of Americans, delusion is real, loser culture is real, armchair syndrome is real, a bunch of empty souls with zero accomplishes in their life talking down on somebody who's achieved lmao

if they fought 10 times George would KO Wilder about 7. Wilder may be able to stop George a couple times. Wilder is a freak athlete but those guys back then wouldve given him hell. Shavers prob wouldve KOed Wilder.

Very different styles, Pat, Dallas and some others already said most, only thing I'd add is Foreman was just a very heavy handed guy in general, all his punches hurt, he got a clubbing like power, Wilder's bread and butter is his explosive straight or overhand right, he has to throw it fast and snappy in order to do damage and his other kind of punches are not as powerful, he isn't heavy handed, more like athletic with one great punch that he learned to set up very well (against lesser opponents) to his credit.

And Foreman didn't panick when he was pressed by someone the way Wilder does, Wilder's game falls apart once someone is getting too close to him, Foreman had his tools to fight in a phone booth when he had to and he routinely beat up great pressure fighters like Frazier or Norton
