He had no type of skill or finesse he just came forward throwing those slow and heavy punches.

No footwork or head movement, but he hit so hard it didn't really matter until Ali took advantage of his lack of craft.

Old George Foreman had more of a bag and utilized the sweet science more, even though he also relied heavily on his punching power.

nah..that man was taught boxing from archie moore, dikk sadler, and doc broadus...foreman could box

young foreman actually utilized a jab and had footwork...he was able to consistently cut the ring off on fighters....fighters with bad footwork can't do that

he also had pretty effective defense..the cross armed defense from archie moore and being able to push off and extended his arms out if someone got into his range to keep them or dissuaded them from coming in if they got in from his jab...he was so strong that it was effective...he did that alot actually..he never shied away from the rough housing

You describing old foreman more than the young version. He might have been taught by them, but he fell in love with his power and fought sloppy way too much.

the only difference between old foreman and young foreman was foreman learned how to pace himself and not burn himself out outside of the loss of physicality due to aging

foreman also could knock you out with a variety of punches with both hands which is a big difference between him and wilder

Nah you dead wrong bro, Foreman could box bruh and he could use both his hands as well to get you outta there. Wilder honestly could take some lessons from Foreman on how to effectively use his feet in a fight. Like @patscorpio said Foreman's big issue when he was younger was he would gas, it aint because he was just out here getting dog walked bro.

:patrice:Younger Goerge had a better punch arsenal compared to Wilder as of now, BUT older George had better discipline and defense, shortened/tightened up his punches as well imo.

Young George was more about intimidation :demonic:even lazy at times/threw wide/looping punches. Kept his left low. If he hadn't been saved by the bell twice Lyles would have starched him out. Young and Ali took advantage of the same weakness.

I dont think OP is too far off. Wilder and Young George are mean guys that want to one punch their opposition into a casket though, mad heart too:whew:

Rubbish comparison!!!!
Foreman was a golden Olympian with boxing skillset and education..he knew how to cut off the ring and had balance..pay attention to his stance.

Wilder couldnt even stand correctly.

Wilder isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He knows how to set up that right hand like an expert.
