I’m being honest. I had no idea about it until recently. But. If you are not the driver and the car is pulled over for a traffic infraction. You technically do not have to show id. Cops will probably ask but you don’t HAVE TO. Unless of course they see some kind of contraband in the whip.


Now as black men we know how trying to beat the law goes on the side of the road with a cop. You will probably lose.

at the minimum you can take the temp L. Provide your id under protest and possibly sue in court later because the constitution is on your side . You will not win on the side of the road but you can win later.

It’s easy. If you have not committed a crime you do not have to show ID. There are hundreds of videos showing it working reliably.

If you are ok with giving cops your info if you did nothing wrong go for it. I am not willingly giving cops my name, address, social security number if I have not done anything wrong.
