getting blitzed.
I will say, in regards to this topic; it’s always been black men that have been my biggest supporters. I’m an engineer that is out here in the trenches. I’m in the warehouses, the workforce. During the pandemic, I wasn’t a remote worker. The engineers had to be in the building right along the essential workers in the warehouses. It’s always been black men that have been my biggest supporters. As a young, fresh out of college engineer; it was me walking out on to the production floor, and the black middle and older working class men telling me how they’re proud and how I’ve gotta walk a certain way, because these white folks are looking to dock me for any and everything. I have made it into management, and I now look to bring other black men up. They looked out for me, now it’s my turn to look out for them.
I like topics like this; not from the women aspect, because I don’t care what they do. It’s been a long time coming, but we need to address what’s wrong with us. I’m big on accountability; including within myself because I know I’ve been moving wrong too. We not moving right.
A lot of us know what’s right, and a lot of us know what’s going on right now isn’t right. Stand tall for what you believe in. You gone have naysayers, and those that tell you you’re moving wrong. They gone tell you you’re a misogynist, “the white men of the community”, etc. Stand tall for what you know is right.
