I just finished rewatching WCW 98 and got to this now. Great entrance, but this killed everything.

The basic idea of building a Super heel group for Goldberg to go. against made sense. Goldberg was just as big as Austin at the time, and Austin having the corporation to go against allowed him to be superman and vulnerable at the same time. They didn't really have storylines for Goldberg after winning the belt, and this would give him big odds to overcome.

For Nash to just lay down for Hogan was stupid as fukk though. They had feuded for months and Nash finally got the belt on his own. No reason to throw it away.

Anyway, even if the Super NWO idea ended up being a good one, somehow this all turned into Hogan vs Flair main events with Hogan as a face in a month.

This right here proves there was nothing wrong with Nash going over Goldberg, Nash was red hot and the pop got even louder when Nash and Hall embraced. Nash was one of the most over guys in wrestling. Even at the time more and more were wondering when the steak would end and by who and the 2 most common names fans would Speculate were Nash or DDP. Listen to that pop, Nash ending the streak was perfectly acceptable. Now what happened a few minutes later threw all that out the window but at the point that video ended, there was nothing wrong with Nash ending the streak

And there it is

The smirk on Nash's face when he knew what the fukk he was about to do. I bet he was told "Just stay there and wait till the pyros over." as a rib on him.

Pay whatever they want for voodoo child dammit
Wrestlers should talk to the camera as they make their entrance like they did in wow

On Bruce Pritchard's podcast, he said Vince hates it when they talk to the cameras. Apparently when Buff Bagwell had that terrible match with Booker T, part of it was him being thrown off by not being able to act like his normal character.
