We can get into the self hate and the childhood trauma and mommy issues even, and it may all be valid. However, I think the thing that is always overlooked in these discussions is proximity/access. You date who you are around. Aint a lot of sisters in and around the Hollywood scene. Its dominated by white chicks and exotic foreigns. Same is true for women. If you dont come in the game with a black spouse your chances of finding one after the fact are much lower.

It's crazy; we all, at some point, never got the exact girls we wanted growing up, and even today as adults, but personally, it's never been enough for me to even think about dating outside my race. I feel like if being rejected is what causes you to date outside then there might be some deep-seated issues going on with you mentally.
I don't wanna say like “mommy issues,” but y'know what I mean is it's something mentally affecting you; some of us can handle rejection well and can move forward as if it never happened in the first place, in other words blocking out negative thoughts about oneself, while others struggle with the aftereffects lingering in their conscience.
