Lewis Tan been doing press for the show and basically saying that they fukked up by not making Iron Fist Asian.

Saying he should've played Iron Fist becuz he knows martial arts in real life and a bunch of other shyt.

I ain't tripping either way, but I feel like breh probably burning some bridges in Hollywood with all these interviews and statements about a show that he's apart of. If he's the best thing about the show they might let him make it.

Don't think it's that bad. IF is a white dude. That FOF tweet is stupid. There's nothing new under the sun; Ideas are based on things previously created.

Off topic: Now if Shang Chi was played by a white dude with the name... Shang Chi. :mjpls:

but iron fist was always white :what:
Dude on paper you have a character who masters an Asian art, embraces said customs, gets entangled in Asian mysticism and he fights Asians too. You are a business man in the 70s and you want this character/comic to sell. Naturally you make him white given the climate. In 2017 on a streaming service like Netflix you can cut all that bs appropriating and simply make him Asian..Stop it with that he's always been white nonsense you sound like a right-winger who says they don't see colour.:camby:

Bullshyt.

His white privilege is an important dynamic to the story line. You make IF Asian and then you'll have a whole separate crowd calling him a stereotype and wondering why the first Asian superhero in the MCU just happens to be Karate Man. This is a bit different than Johnny Storm IMO where the characters race was never really contextualized.

Man cats get want to bytch and whine while they creat nothing. That's the way for this new age bytching and moaning crew. I say don't like this or whatever fukk it create your own and stop bytching. If anything you might be on some new shyt people been clamoring for and get paid instead of just sounding like bytch complaining all the time. Funny thing is when this stuff happens backwards and they make a character a different race than the one folks are they complaining the other fukking way. Stuff is mad annoying.

You don't see color but it bothers you that a character who's always been white remains white? Why should that matter?

And dude above is right if they had made him Asian there would be a whole other group of people crying stereotype. Personally I could have lived with it but these days everyone wants to play victim and pretend they're offended by something.

I think Asians would be secretly happy to have a lead in the MCU but what do I know. You make him a guy from asia with some recognition like the raid dude and all that nonsense you are spouting gets thrown out the window because fans just want to see his moves
