I'd be cool with them enforcing this as long as they also enforce pulling people over for driving to slow on the highway or camping the passing lane.

I camp the passing lane to avoid dangerous 18 wheelers whilst not being in the fast lane cause I ain’t trying to break the speed limit

I go back to the normal lane once it’s completely free and there are no HGVs.

Every time I hear about a fatal accident occurring it’s because of a sleepy or drugged up truck driver. I need my space away from slow heavy lorries. When they overtake each other it pisses me off.

When I was in Germany i used to average about 95 on the autobahn. The first few weeks I was doing 120 but after awhile it’s actually not all that fun. 90 is usually about as fast as you can comfortably drive everyday on a relatively long stretch of highway.

Drive to areas past Austin, towards where all those BBQ spots are in central Texas. Lots of 80 and 85 mph speed limits.

I would support this 100%. These people you see speeding on city streets merging thru lanes its so stupid because 9 times out of 10 you're going nowhere fast. Cut me off just to end up beside me at the light making shyt awkward with your goofy ass. Then on the highway bruh if you're going 90-95 and there's any pop up slowdown, unmarked hazard or whatever, you're fukked or got your foot on the brakes doing the stanky leg.

At a normal speed limit of 45 - 65. If you got a real v8. The car should feel like a dream without all that. Plus it feels no different at top speed than going the speed limit.

The driver of the Subaru survived but the woman and her dog died.

the issue is americans are dumb as fukk, incapable of nuance and are obsessed with “ individual liberty” over collective good. The automobile was sold as sn expression of freedom, the american dream, and as a major symbol of american industry. We love cars as much as we love guns. Trying to install much needed limiters would get twisted and radicalized into a treatise on “govt tyranny” and how “ THE GOVT” is coming for your personal rights ss if cars aren’t killing people left and right.

people keep posting the autobahn but dont understand that Germany (and the rest of the europe for thst matter) doesn’t have nearly the concentration of cars that the US has. They walk, bike, taxi, bus, and train everywhere in Europe. So much so that people there have a greater respect for driving, its not something taken for granted or treated with apathy which is what gets people killed.
