you make this thread using the ohio state example, but you've never once wanted another big ten team to win a nonconference or bowl game. non bama fans arent rooting for them the same way they would for their own team and they're not going to be heartbroken if they lose. any non idiot realizes that a win over a bama team that beats michigan means more than beating a bama team that loses to michigan. that plus bama beating michigan probably eliminates michigan from the title race the same way oregon probably wouldnt have gotten back to the title game last year even if they didnt lose to the trojans.
