In season 1 the main character Joe falls in love with this girl, but she meets someone else and in a jealous rage he kills her with a chainsaw and hides the parts in his back garden, but when the feds start investigating he robs a bank to get enough cash to leave town, he has to hide the cash but on his way back to get it the feds are on him so he has to steal a hot air balloon instead, and that’s how he ends up in LA which is pretty much the start of this season

just mention the part where he murders the guy with the salad tongs, she’ll know youve been watching no doubt
