Y'all make the same threads every gotdamn day
How can y'all understand how to use the internet, but not understand the effects of the internet age on music? Mfs steady complaining about rap is trash, but the only things you quote to support that claim is the radio and the XXL freshman list. It's fukking 2016, everybody with a laptop can make music. If you want to find lyricists and shyt you have to do a little more than open up a magazine and expect the greatest rappers of this generation to be spoon fed to you.
Even that is a half truth, Kendrick sold 320k his first week with TPAB. Young Thug did less than 30k with Barter 6. Even Future the biggest trap rapper made less sales than Cole and Kendrick with DS2, so miss me with that, real rap isn't promoted bullshyt. Y'all wanna hear dope rappers but put forth zero effort towards finding them.
And you still haven't listed these so called lyricists you whiny bytch nikka.. Where they at?
What sound do you wanna hear? Regional? 90s replicas?
Vince Staples is good, I'd start with Progressive 2 or Hell Can Wait.
Newest lyrical project I'm fukking with is iiiDrops by Joey Purp.
Isaiah Rashad is good, listen to both of his projects.
Earl Sweatshirt, Freddie Gibbs. PM if you want more

Its always the same with nikkas
-"these rappers suck nowadays"
- "we r being spoonfed trash"
-"We need more Coles and Kendricks" no we dont
-"Phonzi or whoever come in the thread pitching there usual bull"
- rest of thread will be some 90s dikkriding fest
Rinse and repeat
I just want these dudes to stop being hypocrites. They complain all day about rap being trash, but none of them support the good underground artists that people talk about on here. They would rather stay in their safe zone and talk about 90s rap than try and find new artists they rock with. What threads do you want to see more of?
So how is rap garbage if there are good mainstream artists (Kendrick, Cole, Lupe) and plenty of good underground artists. Like I said y'all just go out of your way to find shyt you can hate on. Spend less of that energy hating and more finding music you actually like.Staples is cool. I like the Farrakhan joint he dropped, Sweatshirt is weak to me, Gibbs I rocked with since Babyfaced killa so instead of whining make a thread about them

I could co-sign if the old heads said mainstream rap is trash. That's an undisputed fact , it has been since the internet age kicked off for reasons I already explained. But to speak in sweeping generalizations and say all rap is garbage
Like somebody else said in the other thread, hip hop has died every year since the 90s, and the genre is still going strong with dope rappers coming out every day

ASAP is niceI don't create threads on these wack new nikkas. If folks rock with them. That's on them. But when cats are sitting here throwing tantrums on why cats aren't discussing alot of the new generation. My question is exactly in the forefront is worth a interesting discussion? Where are these lyricists so I can take note? I go on Revolt, MTV Jams, BET Jams whatever the fukk is on to see whats popping with the current and the majority of these nikkas are on that same weirdo trap nikka wave. This is the only forum where I see this shyt actually propped up as if really dope because not even many 20 year olds fukk with this shyt like that unless its in the clubs or party atmosphere.
Who in the frontier of whats popping is worth a discussion?
Designer?
Asap Rocky?
French Montana?
Koondack Black?
Lil dikky?
Uzi?
Anderson Pakk?
Some stud rapper name Gizzle?
A dusty Young Thug clone name KYNG
And yet you expect nikkas who came from the eras of Rocafella, Terror Squad, Ruff Ryders, Death Row, Ruthless, Suave House, Hypnotized Minds, Wu Tang, Rawkus, Soul Assassins, etc to automatically accept this? Man if you goofy nikkas don't get the fukk outta here
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/mick-jenkins-spread-love-prod-by-sango.455366/Nikka instead of trying to create attention spectacle in calling out "geezers" like many of these corny trolls defending a lot of these trash acts. You should have done threads on those lyricists specifically and let it cook. Kendrick, Cole, Lupe, Big East, YG, gets discussed regularly here. Even the cat who post here that goes by the name of AV gets phrased for his Anti corrupt police song. Their but its toften drowned by fukkery and silly talks of Young Thug dropping instant classics, Lil Uzi having NEXT, and the thread pumping up bums like Designer.
