He won't. None of these "there's great music somewhere on the Internet" muhfukkas can show and prove.

He's another low-rent poster who makes the same cliche threads he's complaining others do :russell:

If the shoe fits where it if the thread keep getting made then there is something wrong:manny:

Underground is underground I believe it's more of the commercial side that is being pushed down everyone throats.
Alot of people bring up Cole's and Kendricks but them nikkas influences are heavyweights. Plus they ain't really from this era they was out last decade,it's almost 2017 how long you gonna claim nikkas muthafukkas out today is birthing shyt like this

You nikkas trash get over it

All these brehs are good (haven't listened to Rashad or Joey Purp yet) but for some reason they're not the ones that are really "at the top", I guess we can all agree on that. THAT's what makes us :flabbynsick: brehs kind of pissed off, why are Young Lil whatevers mumbling heard everywhere while I have to look for actual rappers? I didn't have to look for Meth, Sean P or Doom (all much better rappers than the young brehs you listed), let alone Pac, Big or Nas. As I said before, there's dope music in every era, and wack music in any era. I have no problem listening to some turnup mumbleswagrap in the club or whatever. I don't have a problem looking for my music either, but it used to be you would look for obscure b-side instrumentals or (for me being in Europe) for some mixtapes I couldn't get here. Now I have easier to access to US music and it's harder to find quality :francis:
I agree that they're more popular, you could make a whole thread arguing why that is. All I know is that popularity doesn't translate to any kind of tangible success. People are not going to remember Lil Yachty when they think of our generation. Same way Slikk The Shocker isn't the spokesman for your generation. If you're mad that you have to search ion know what to tell you. It's the internet age, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

The problem nowadays is bad song writing & too many people trying to hop on the "what's hot" wave. That recipe is what we have today to put it simply. Also the fact that you have to "search" for good music puts a lot of people off when it used to be readily available.
The whole 'created their own lane' shyt is cool, but then 10,000 people copy that shyt. Just look at Future.

The songwriting.........whole different topic breh. But yea it's just god awful now.

White people out there paying to watch us make bufoons out of ourselves.

What about that performance do you consider "buffoonish"?

The content of the song...or the fact that they were extra animated on stage? :jbhmm:

What's your thoughts on performing a song with this type of content infront of a all white crowd?

really tho

I don't know about all that, son. I do know that there's still 'good' hip-hop out there for those of us raised on 80's-90's beats.

Take this one, for instance.......

Their subject matter isn't as limited as it may seem at first listen.

I've got all their mixtapes and haven't been disappointed thus far. Your experience may vary.

Lil yachty might not, but he's already prob more talked about than Silkk ever was. And isn't one of the biggest "rappers" right now Young Thug?

I already said that I have no problem looking for music, been doing for more than ten years now, actually taking the train to Paris to hit up cd stores, spend hours there and spend tons of money to have that import cd that cost like 40 dollars. I'm used to actually putting effort to find what I like. BUT it was too look for obscure rappers that didn't make it internationally. Like affiliates of Wu-tang affiliates, or bootleg Dj Premier instrumentals. I didn't have to look for Boot Camp or Busta Rhymes, Dogg Pound or Goodie Mob. I din't have to look for Mos Def or Common and all them. THAT'S what I don't understand.

It's like going to a restaurant and they tell you "Sorry, you have to go somewhere else to find some food":dahell:

There's wack shyt today just like there's always been wack shyt. The only difference is there's way more wack shyt to swim thru to get to the good shyt these days. Radio always been trash for the most part but with less people rapping radio had no choice but to play Tribe, Mobb Deep, Nas, or whoever. Everybody with a internet connection can get on. People don't have to sharpen their craft, make a demo, hope to get discovered, etc. Its so much easier now. Yall young cats get mad emotional tho when people don't agree. We used to debate all the time on the music and nobody walked away with their feelings hurt calling someone a hater
