I'm more intrigued by how the word "comb" and "tomb" are pronounced totally different simply because of the change from c to t.

As an immigrant, learning that shyt made NO sense.

Goes back to the phenomes thing. It was made to poke fun at or point out the irregularity in the english language.

gh- "f" sound
o- "i" sound ie women is pronounced wimin
ti- "sh" sound....nation - "nashun"
