Grizzles are the equivalent of a team too good to miss the playoffs and not bad enough for the lottery."because they're not exciting. we love dunks, crosses, and 3 pointers"
nah but forreal, it is was it is. only way for the smallest market in the league is gonna get some respect, is if they win it all.
Every year the past 3years the season has been very predictable. Unless they get a legit 2 or 3 its gonna be business as usual.
I like the Grizzlies. But they're not close to being contenders. And until they fix their perimeter shooting/scoring, they never will be. They've had an easy schedule to:
Playing Minnesota first up, who have different pieces and still aren't any anywhere near the playoff picture in the West
A depleted and much-changed Pacers squad, was always going to be a win for a defensive team that had a few years together as a unit
Playing their younger, weaker cousin in Charlotte, no surprise they'd come out on top
Pelicans really ain't shyt outside of my mans AD, and are going through are power-struggle with Tyreke, Jrue fighting over the ball (until that's fixed they won't be shyt)
Phoenix is their only notable win, Conley and Lee stepped up to match all the Suns' guard scoring and everyone else did their thing
And OKC, well I think that speaks for itself

No for 2 reasons:
1. I don't on things over which I have no control.
2. You make the false equivalency that your playoff seeding (i.e., being above the 6th seed) determines whether a team is a championship contender.
A lot of Grizzlies naysayers are posting like they actually follow them. They're making all kinds of baseless declarative statements and predictions.

The topic is whether the Grizzlies are a championship contender. Unlike most posters in this thread, you argued that they're not and wouldn't finish above the 6th seed.
Hence, one can infer that your opinion is that if a team is not above the 6th seed, then said team cannot be a championship contender.

1. Attending high school with a player who used to play for a team does not mean you follow said team. Logical fail.
2. Apparently you don't follow the NBA closely enough to be making baseless predictions about the Grizzlies when posters on here have provided facts and evidence that refute your predictions.
