I hate how young black men think they have to portray the image of a crash test dummy or a goon or a reckless individual in order to be authenticated as black.

Black male pathology:snoop:

The biggest crash dummies might be from good homes and families. Look at Casanova

It’s because they will be made fun of for having a decent upbringing. Even on this board, some have a distain for blacks from the burbs. I’ve been told I’m not black enough cause I wasn’t from the worst parts of Brooklyn. So kids gonna over compensate so they can fit in. Being a square is frowned upon. I can see why Irving is embarrassed and disgusted and disappointed in his son. He worked his ass off as a pro athlete to bring his children in the best possible situations only for them to run to the nonsense willingly.

But I’m a square. What do I know?

The funniest part is, by today's standards his son ain't even bad lol. The beats slap and he's staying on time with a unique voice. I just don't know why the content has to be EXTRA demonic, like he's trying to obviously compensate for the affluent upbringing.
I was thinking this as well.

If he could keep lean in on and reshapebhis persona to a more general theme - Money, Jawns, Partying. He actually wouldn't be any worse than the nikkas rapping now.

I respect Irvin. But, damn, maybe it had to be done but that pause and emphasis on

GATED COMMUNITY...

YOUR WHOLE LIFE!

Sheesh, I felt second hand ether from that like I was his son. Father murdered his entire rap persona he's been building up over half a decade. :dead:

Not funny and hilarious at the same time.

It's indicative of huge problems within our community. Sooner or later these problems will come to the forefront. The black community is actually fake and fraudulent as hell! We as a whole are perpetuating a lot of bullshyt and acting like victims when things go south.

Nah, not necessarily.

I grew up lower middle class but I was in way better shape, regarding the household and values, than my cousins.

But...

I LOVED MY COUSINS.

Always were sleeping over on the weekends. I'd go visit them.

I feel like, even if my parents became rich, wouldn't feel too good for them.

Msny of them living in what would be considered the trenches.

I'd be going to Pink House projects in ENY to play street fighter II with my cousin Ty, spend the weekend in Soundview to chill with my much older brother, Farmers and 120 ave area to visit my cousin Shima and all of the rugrats over there.

. :mjcry:

fukk....

I got carried away and started to rant while reminiscing over an extended family that has splintered and hardly connect.
I'll never have that again, fukk life goes fast:to:
