All young people want to be rebellious at a certain age. That’s what maturation is all about. Doesn’t matter what your upbringing or racial background is. You’re not supposed to exit the womb with the attitudes of a 55 year old.

Just don’t engage in activity that will ruin the rest of your life.

I never wanted to be rebellious.......I wanted money my mother couldn't give me.

I was in the music industry, DJing, getting Gillie Da Kid and Roscoe P Coldchain to host my mixtapes when I was 15-16.

If I had a father in the NFL Hall of fame, I could have enjoyed my teenage years like every other normal kid and not worked as hard knowing I was set up to run a business etc.

It's the culture led by the music.

It's literal mental & spiritual poison that makes it harder as a parent to raise "square" black boys and girls.

I don't care what nobody else says....rap music has become one of the worse things that's ever happened to the black community.

Rap music has completely turned our image inside out by EXALTING the lowest aspects of society (gangbangers, drugdealers, thugs, thot whores).

I personally feel SUFFOCATED by this culture. I wish myself and all my fellow like-minded black people could segregate away from this culture and start brand new where hood/street/thot culture is left behind to rot.

I'm there as well.

We're well past the stage where rap was the ghetto's CNN. At one point in time you could make that argument........now it's straight glorifying and exalting negativity and it's exhuasting like you said.

I could barely feign excitment for the 50 year anniversary of hip hop because I see how destructive it has been.

And not a solitary soul around him in the video. He’s gonna have to buy his crew. :mjlol:

I’m glad Michael is being upfront and honest. raising black boys today is fukking nutso. I miss raising girls.
Mike exerted more violence by exposing his quaint comfortable upringing, than he raps in all his bars. Mike killed lil boy's career before it got a chance to jump off......... gonna have to rebrand himself now and come with that Chance type vibe.... :mjlol:

America Is weird place. People that grew up in the hood or that actually lived in the hood at one point in their lives couldn't wait to move the fugg away. Then there are actually people walking around that have never lived in the hood a day in their lives that want people to think that they are from the hood.

Most “street nikkas” didn’t have to live that life honestly.

Being completely transparent there’s just as many fake nikkas in the hood as there are in the suburbs. Especially in dfw

I mean think about very few peoples parents are dead broke for 18 years straight. Unless your parents were a junkie or in prison or something major you more than likely grew up in a decent home too, hood or not
