All the time.

I went from thinking Terry Funk was a crazy hardcore wrestler to discovering he was God :wow: :blessed:

Yes. He did the hardcore shyt so well that he just got labelled forever.
It's amazing that Terry Funk will probably never get the appreciation he deserves. Dude deserves his own wing in any Hall of Fame.

Been watching back a lot of 1999 stuff and big boss man was hilarious.

Guy was probably involved in more fukked up shyt than anyone else on the roster. :mjlol:
Yeah, dude was super fukked up with all the shyt he did to Al Snow & Big Show :dead:

I wish that letter he wrote to big show promo was on youtube :bryan:

Jerry Lawler.. I started watching a lot of his Memphis wrestling stuff on youtube.. I thought it was cool how he would be a heel in wwe and face in Memphis at the same time.

Definitely. There's no shortage of material to trash Lawler as a person, and the King gimmick is corny as hell, but watching that dude work in Memphis back in the day, the way he controlled the crowd through his work ... man, that shyt is a lost art.

I think of him as one of the best workers ever.

Jerry being so great for so fukking long is :mindblown: a top 5-10 US worker ever by doing the least amount of stuff possible. Memphis was crazy brawls and "minimalist" style and Lawler was a master of both. The motherfukker could still have a fun match in the 2010's because he could still throw a punch and sell :wow:

Another for me is Slaughter, for the longest time I thought of him as the corny commissioner of the WWF. When I started watching his 80's work I was  at how fukking dope he was, one of the best bumpers ever and had a bunch of great matches. Him doing a splash from the top of the cage at Final Conflict is one of the most shocking things I've ever seen in a non modern match.

Yes. He’s a piece of work as a human.

But damn did a lot of his stuff age well especially the AWA. .. you can still in 2018 borrow elements from things from that dude was saying/doing in the 70’s

Austin Idol

Go on a YouTube rabbit hole of his late 70’s early 80’s promos then listen to some of the Rock’s promos from 1998 or so

makes sense given Rock spent a lot of his early wrestling years in Memphis and is a student of history.

The Idol/Lawler feud is :banderas:

The hair vs hair cage match is one of my favorites matches ever from the territories.
