Been watching a lot of 99-01 WWF lately and MAAAAAAN Triple H during that time was That Damn Good, No pun intended. When he gave his promos you knew he believed every word he said, and the way he said it made you hate his ass for it vs 03 when I just didn't want to see him on TV at all:hhh:

This shyt right here was just CEREBRAL :banderas:

Going back and watching him around that time made me dislike him more. Dude was protected booking wise for years and the crazy amount of attention that was put on him despite him being boring as shyt.

For me the ones I loked a lot more upon rewatches was APA, Meng & Barbarian, Ken Shamrock, and while already a stan became an even bigger Angle and Steiner Brothers stan.

that forced ass storyline of him being behind stone cold getting ran over sucked. it killed rikishi and made the rock look stupid. all for the sake of a B+ player

shyt even during his "burial" period after the curtain call he was rarely losing and when he did it'd be due to some bullshyt like a DQ or countout. He even had a single's match against Sid who was champion at the time and couldn't even eat the pin there.

Forced? It was the only option that made sense & worked :dahell:

Its the whole reason they had to shift from Rikishi to Him :dahell:

the only option :childplease: the forced part was them making him this mastermind while USING rikishi like some dim witted savage. that shyt did NOTHING for rikishi. he was trying to force himself into the mania main event

Triple H for sure. I hated him growing up and i missed the era when he became a top guy so when i got back into wrestling i always hated that he was an authority figure but i look back on matches and he put mad work in. even during the Hunter Hearst era when he was selling all over the ring like Mr Perfect.

Ric Flair for me. I went back and watch all the old Starrcades and he was just amazing in his prime. Ric was a true superstar.
