You ever look up sun down towns in your state?

I wasn't there during night time but Flagler Beach, Florida is one place where I felt like I might go missing if I were roaming dolo at sunset. Been to some unsafe areas before but I've never felt this aura of hate and strong possibility of getting my head blown off by a shotgun toting cac anywhere else.

Those cities use to be Sundown towns some are still are lowkey Sundown towns like Culver City. They also missed Napa (No African People Allowed), Compton, Inglewood, Brea, Palmdale, Sierra Madra, El Segundo, and South Pasadena.

If people did a demographics map about how LA Blacks and whites migrated into other parts of the city/surrounding cities after 1948, they'd see how and why some of these areas ended up being on that type of time.

I almost moved to range, TX. Moved to Beaumont instead for a year.

Beaumont is…”fine”. Not nearly as bad as Orange or Vidor, it’s full of country ngas that will help watch your back so I haven’t heard of any trouble but they (the tiki torch whites) def let their presence be known in Beaumont.

I clicked and saw Culver City.

I’ve been to majority of those CA sundown towns none of them are like that. There are cities that have that vibe that aren’t even on the list.

Antioch is black af too. Maybe in the early 90s it may have been like that but no that’s far from a sundown town. Palos verde might be and Taft but nothing else on that list is like that

My mother in law said Culver City used to be a sun down town back in her youth but that’s 50-70 years ago. Going by that criteria half of the United States would have been on that list.

What’s really crazy about the CA list is how Santee isn’t on it. It’s notorious for being skin head central and everybody in San Diego county knows it.
