I don’t think comedy aging is that major factor here... The fact that popular culture has changed since then, and most people won’t joke like that nowadays, makes it even funnier.

That's point of shows like All in the Family, Jeffersons and Married with Children. Its a time capsule to show people what types of attitudes were acceptable to have back then. Al used to go hard on fat bytches and trannies. Hell the 70s you had Paul Mooney writing for Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase to call each other Honkies and nikkas on network TV. I love time capsule shyt. I've always been against censoring movies and tv from back in the day. Let the world see shyt like Songs of the South and let them know what Walt thought of us.
