Thing is we can't control what people say. And Harbaugh is so anti-media, he instills that in his players so they should be the same.
I don't for one second think this teams buys the hype, you can tell their only focus is on the SB and not the media attention or being able to pound their chests. That loss to NYG will never allow this team to be arrogant about regular season wins, their is too much focus here. Too much pain to enjoy menial victories.
This is why it feels so good to have Harbaugh, he is that rare breed of coach who you just know will keep a great team feeling incomplete.

Lions were embarrassing. I can imagine their GM watching the game and saying "clearly Stafford needs more weapons." Nah nikka, get a defense. Your d line can't stop the run and is largely overrated, you have no secondary, and your LBs are trash outside of Tulluch.

the funny part is, their dline has mad potential, its just its coached to be super-aggressive on every damn play. the niners keep doings wham/trap, with fullback/guard taking suh out and it kept on working both of last games. youd think theyd make adjustments
this is what amazes me in todays nfl. seems coaches are too stubborn to make adjustments according to teams they play. everybody seems to stick to their game against the niners.
but yeah that d has been hot trash. and it doesnt help with the line overpursuing, it opens up mad space in the middle for short passes. crabs was eating off those all day.
also stafford is definitely overrated. people got enamored by his stats again, not looking at how hes done against good defenses and teams

Yup you can tell all they do is chase stats, and are taught getting to the QB trumps everything. Suh acts like he done won the game every time he gets a sack. Yet you can run thru that d line's guts without getting touched while he bulldozes to the QB. Chasing stats and winning games ain't the same thing all the time, b.
Gunther needs to go. I like his passion but that shyt ain't working. This is supposed to be one of the best d lines in the league, and it is on paper talent-wise. So how come they can't stop any good teams?

run d is the answer to your last question. this is a passing league now, but if you cant stop the run at least occasionally, D will be exhausted and you won't win many games. look at the raiders, even when their secondary was

And you were dead right on that trap, Gore must have had 6 carries over 10 yards on that play alone.

Stafford is over-rated, he is the definition of what Smith was talking about with the Cam comment in the off-season.
Throwing for a bunch of yards looks good, but it doesn't mean you're going to be successful. Stafford's accuracy is shaky at times too

Stafford has has 2 bad games! Wtf are y'all talking about.... So last season was a fluke ? Rodgers didn't do much better.... The first game of the season was really bad.... But we won. Stafford will have a 3TD 300yard game next week.
And keep in mind we played without 3 of our starters in D.. All backfield guys..
And we get Leshour back.

Stafford threw for over 5000 yards last yr and couldnt even get an spot as an alternate on the pro bowl roster. I think people have him rated pretty accurately.
