7.5 a Month.
In about 5 years, I got the 400K payout with more coming indefinite.
200K at work would have been alright if the other option wasn't present, because if I got money coming in like that, on time every time, why the fukk am I clocking in and not out enjoying a moderate retirement?

If I knew more about the stock market or crypto, the 400k option would be great because you could really make that money grow.

But I’d take the $7,500 a month because it’s more stable and doesn’t require work on my part

400k.

My paycheck is nice already, 7500 is going to lose value over time.
I can get my credit to 800 now.
400k, a portion of it could get me a nice down-payment on a crib in my neighborhood and I could have a lower payment than rent.

It's between 7.5k a month and 400k lump sum

But I'll take 7.5k given it's guaranteed for life. If you invest 3k of that every month into S&P500 by the time you're 60, you will have $6 million (much more if you already have a decent nest in your investment account)

Given you already have a job with decent pay, you're still left with $4.5k extra every month on top of whatever you already make. That's a pretty comfortable life.

Taking the $7500/mo. Could work some easy part time job for health insurance and just chill. Or pick up a long-term visa in Thailand or Vietnam and live really nice.
