not in office buildings downtown, security will give you the as you walk up to the security station without your ID to get pass the security doors

Yeah midtown and downtown offices have mad security, and printout sticker badges to say you're visiting. Even hospitals be doing this

At my job tho you have to have a ID card to get into gates(unless you use the visitor lot ), but not into the buildings themselves, but then you have to have an ID to get into the interior buildings.

Yeah, you can't get into our building without having a badge and, if not, you gotta sign into the security desk and get a name tag before you even get to the elevators.
