It would be a huge case of "You reap what you sow". Human beings have been fukking up the planet for centuries. We're arrogant as a species and take nature and everything around us for granted. If something like this happened it will humble everyone real quick. It's kinda what Ken Watanabe was alluding to in that trailer.
