A solid 5 minutes of the episode is news reports about the plane crash....then it shows Walt's house and it's littered with news papers covering the story.

Directly after that he burns the money.

He felt indirectly responsible for the crash because if he doesn't let Jane die, her dad isn't distraught and the planes don't collide. Or if you want to take it back even further, if he doesn't start selling meth she has nothing to blackmail him with.

Fast forward to half way through the ep, and he's at the school meeting trying to rationalize why it's not his fault.

At the end of the episode he tells Gus he can't do it any more. The first few eps of season 3 is him trying to live the square life and "do the right thing".
