Griffey was my first favorite player watching, Jeter was number 2 (die hard yankee fan). i remember how BADLY i dreamed day in and day out when his seattle days was numbered that NY and their fat paychecks would come calling for him. but he refused to play due to how they treated his daddy (or so i heard) and he went to play in cincy. the rest as they unfortunately say....was history. Griffey should have the history placement Bonds got minus the steriod hackeling. i feel cheated as a fan this never got to see fruition.

Yeah, I read that when his pops played for the Yankees, Billy Martin was the manager, and he used to talk real greasy to him. Supposedly one time Junior was in the clubhouse and Billy screamed on him, and Junior held that grudge till this day. As mad as he sounded, you almost wonder if he low key went and pissed on Billy's grave.
