I'm referring to the brain-drain happening with our best and brightest from universities going into finance and chasing computer science bankrolls in shytty apps.

The fact is this. There is no way an app can ever figure out if a party is going to be good. This is just fact. Too many variables. The app is a failure.

from what i got they're not trying to figure out if a party is going to be good but if it is good when the app user is searching which is easy. like foursquare they can have app users check in at parties or track their location and match it up with known club locations and if there are enough people there say it's live (kinda weak cause of course a party could be crowded and still wack). they can even go a step further and have users rate the parties they're at which other people could see and make their own assessment.

like i said foursquare and i think a few other people already have apps similar to this that allow people to check in at places (not only clubs) and have their friends or anyone (not to sure about anyone haven't used it in awhile) to see where they're at and their opinion on that place. the app business is tough but i wish those guys all the best.

Why do all Black people have to scientists or the President? They're passionate about something that isn't sports, rap, or selling drugs. Not everyone wants to be what other people expect them to be. And as long as they make an honest living, why should they?
