It is. Last 'good' horror movie I saw was 'Ju-on'. You'd know it by the American re-make: The Grudge (which SUCKED AZZ). [REC] was also decent, but the re-make, 'Quarantine' was basura.......

American horror fell off something serious after the 80's-early 90's. Although, 'Cabin in the Woods' was very entertaining, I don't consider it a 'horror' movie.

Keep in mind, I saw 'Friday: The 13th' when I was 11 years old and nothing since then has put actual fear in me.​

I'm watching most anything (non animated) touched by Guillermo Del Toro to be honest. I'm not a Hellboy fan, but Pan, Devil's Backbone, Orphanage, all that is my shyt right there.

The Grudge was so-so on the scary radar but Ju-on was

Rec 1 and 2 was sooo good . Those were the original paranormal activity imo.

I was not expecting it to be a demon entity doing all the killing

speaking of REC, the 3rd sequel is out...link is in my profile....Im watching it now...so far so good. ALso they are coming out with a 4th and final to end the franchise next year. REC Apocalypse.
