This is why I cant respect these so called critics
For all the criticism Bryan Singer received for Superman Returns — and the movie did suffer from the lack of a good villain — that film was heartfelt and thoughtful and got inside the mind of a character cursed to forever be a stranger in a strange land. You felt his melancholy. In Man of Steel, all you feel are your seats rumbling from the Dolby Digital sound and a vague bit of nausea (the movie is in 3D) thanks to that zooming, swooping camera. Snyder is a great visualist, but he doesn’t know how to make a story flow: The movie feels like you’re turning pages in a book - a three-year-old’s picture book. Man of Steel looks sensational and will no doubt pack theaters, but movies this big and ambitious should leave you with something more substantial than “That was cool.” Here is a high-flying hero with feet of clay.

:wtf: its a comic book movie, I dont give a flying fukk about any of that.... then he goes on his too much action rant :rudy: I feel sorry for people that cant enjoy shyt for what it is, and think every movie has to have emotional character that you can connect with... fukk all that

Nope, but neither are great films. And posting one scene as if it makes the whole movie good? You're grasping at straws. Anyway, it seems like you're avoiding my point to try and go on a tangent. :scusthov:

I get your point, friend. Action films arent for you unless they display alot of intelligence. You just cant have fun out there. Sad to hear. Let me guess, you're going to see the live action ThunderCats film and expect a mindblowing drama. I still believe you jest like clowns, friend.

Apparently you still don't get it, friend. There's a difference between good action movies and bad ones, and it isn't due to "a lot of intelligence" or "mindblowing drama." Step your game up and stop trying to justify your poor taste. :snoop:

When did I even use the word terrible? I already posted my review. I said it had potential, but squandered it.

Squandered potential. Im sorry can you scale that from 1-10 and then compare that scale to the film Avengers. We need to ID you for what you are.

Japan, but from the 989
I'm still going to check it out, but man, directors have problems dealing with a character that could be a God. Its like they are trained to make a story out of it but how do the directors film and make a God's life interesting without retelling the same story over and over. They could make him a dead beat dad (Superman Returns) or make him fight computers (Superman III). The point is it difficult for directors to make a God character interesting today. They all want to show a flaw in a character and magnify it. Like in the new Wolverine movie they are trying to take away his healing factor to show a "New" element to him. But they fukking fail every time. The story like this shouldn't be character driven. It should be reaction driven. The world is falling apart, what does this character do to save it. His actions tell more about his character than sitting down for ten minutes with dialog. Have the nikka save a cat from a tree! LOL I think the movie will be better than Superman Returns or Green Lantern but it won't fukk with the Avengers.

The same thing happened with the dark knight returns . People wanted to focus on every little thing instead of enjoying the movie ( how'd he get back to Gotham , how'd his back get healed etc )

ENORMOUS amounts of prep time :troll:

Critics robbed us of a goat level superman franchise. Character is basically ruined now, will never get anything good. They decided he must be camp to be good, but nobody likes campy superhero movies thus we are trapped in a paradox. people complain he's not enough like christopher reeves, but forget that almost all of his superman moves were trash.

That's what they would have you think, if superman's a boring character then goku must be a boring character
All star superman the best one to hit the movies. I stand by it:wow:
Thats the superman you'd follow into battle:wow:
The one that inspires even the weakest ones among us :wow:
Even made lex change his ways:wow:
