I never pull in any parking space, and i look out the rear middle window and look out the driver side window.
It kinda is all one motion. Pulling in gives you no reaction time. As your mind does not think to move forward. Since you are pulling in. Plus gear change is faster from reverse to drive. As reverse is the first motion selection then drive in practicality in engineering and an engine.
