FOOTBALL. :to:

...but the biggest thing that I miss about about high school was the quality of humor. I went to an all-black all-male Catholic high school in the hood.

There weren't any girls :scusthov:, which sucked but I was kind of a goody-2-shoes before college anyway so it didn't matter. The cool thing about my high school was that we were all like brothers. The teachers all knew our names and were kind of lenient on jokes. There was just a lot of mutual respect and the teachers looked out for ya so it was just chill.

We'd just roast each other ALL day and it was hilarious. Everyone was a fukking comedian and anyone that caught feelings got looked down upon so you had get quick with the wit to hang.

shyt was basically like The-Coli in real life. :lolbron:

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
Football :wow: and the friends I made from high school ball. Still the only ones I would call my best friends. I've made quite a few friends in college but we aren't nearly as tight knit and some are kinda flaky. I know my friends from HS even now got me if I ever need something. :to:

The Rallys :ahh:

Our varsity cheerleaders :ohlawd:

Punking our rival school so much they moved them into a different league :russ:

I wasn't at the top of the social ladder but I got to ditch school whenever senior year cause the hall monitors were all cool with me. Something the "it crowd" couldn't do :jawalrus:

Even the dudes I used to beef with in HS. The loyalty level is strong with our alumni.

As lame as it sounds, I miss the teachers.

I didn't really like the other students. Despite that I got good grades, was good at sports, had extra-curricular activities, and wasn't socially awkward in those groups, I just didn't like the other students that much. I didn't (and still don't) like what teenagers find stylish, I didn't like that so many people were vapid and shallow, I didn't like that my ex stalked me by having "plants" in all my classes "keep tabs" on me to make sure I wasn't talking to other girls, and I didn't like the superficial social hierarchy there, even though it all benefited me.

The teachers, though, they were great. I think that everyone who really commits can count about three great teachers they've had through their life. Two of mine were my football and wrestling coaches. Thanks to them I was a better student and a better athlete. It was probably the material they taught that sparked the fire in me to get into law school. It was also because of them I got way tougher than that soft little butterball that I was coming in as a freshman into high school.

By the time I got out, I was so ready for college it wasn't even funny. Now those were some fun years. The first two weeks of college are always the most fun...
