My logical guess is that there was gunshot residue in the car and/or on the bodies. Once that is established, evidence shows the shooter was in the car and the "drive-by" story goes to shyt. Someone is clearly lying and so whoever didn't pull the trigger will be the first to flips after getting hemmed up for a murder.
