I’m not denying he did this but if you think some phone records and “Bullet Trajectory” done by the cops is enough evidence for this or for most people you’re an idiot.

The prosecution has nothing concrete and even if you in your heart believe he did this, that weak ass evidence is all they got after all these years.

yeah, i was surprised by the mistrial, but then went to look at the evidence they presented. i can see why it wasn't enough to convict for 9/12.

What did the confession text actually say? Also can that be used as real evidence? Would the possibility of him lying on the text to up his street cred as a rapper not be enough to discredit the truthfulness of such a text? Can a Breh & Breh Associates lawyer help me understand

the confession said something like "I did that..."

the defense had two main arguments. the first was that multiple people had access to the phone and used it, and they showed how, and the second was that melly almost exclusively typed "dat" instead of "that" in his messages. and they presented something like 80 pages of texts showing him using "dat."

the prosecution did have some other texts where they said he typed "that," but it was a way smaller number.

so yeah i don't know. i can see why jurors would have had reasonable doubt about it as a confession. at the very least it wasn't a slam dunk
