This is what Thug can expect too. Best case scenario. Probably why he doesn't want to plea. There's no rap career for these guys anymore. They will be old and washed up, and mostly financially insolvent. All crumbles away and they spend time talking about the days when they were up. I know guys like this.

edit: well if he's out in months, it will be a different story, but probably not a great one. Gucci proved you can do about 36 months and come home, and change your life, but that's not everyone.

There’s a difference between being a current popular rapper and making money off your music. Thug and Lucci will have no problem booking performances and getting paid once they’re out. Matter fact they’ll probably be able to charge a premium since a lot of venues will try to book them early after release.

Lucci, sure. He can do shows, probation will be a tight rope. And record labels and all that insurance, blah blah but he will be ok.

If Thug does more than lets say 7 years, he's done as an artist. No one will care.

True. Only thing that might save Thug from that is he’s from the south. Look at Boosie. He did 5 years. I could be wrong but I don’t think Boosie was as popular as Thug was before he went in but he’s still able to move around and get money booking shows.

yeah Boosie is ok, but a lot of his social media nonsense is let's just say less than truthful, about how much money he makes. He has a life. But he doesn't really have a rap career anymore. Thugga is a a lot more financially up than Boosie ever was, but he also has that much further to fall. Thugga was used to private flights and mansions, and living like basically an A list celeb. SNL in New York. Sold out shows in Atlanta or whatever.

If Thug does 10 years or more, he will come home to a pretty different reality. Most of his money will be gone, and he has a huge family to support. Plus, you still kinda have those issues in the street if you stay in Atlanta. You become a trophy for the other side.
