Yeah dudes mind is sick. Some hard rehabilitation probably won't even help him. Probably have to be on some crazy meds the rest of his life to get him in a normal mindset to not want to do it again ect. It's a crazy thing for prison counselors and perole officers to deal with when he gets out. He's Extremely likely to reoffend.

This guy had it all: Money, fame, good looks (nh), etc. He could easily get plenty of women willing to have consensual sex with him, but he wouldn't enjoy that. He needs to force himself onto them, dominate and humiliate them... that's how he gets off.

He is most likely going to get more than 9 years because he still has additional charges pending. Darren Sharper will be in prison for the rest of his life. He's too dangerous to be walking the streets.
