Until fully proven otherwise, I believe the Bears are trading the #1 pick and building around Fields. I believe Caleb and his camp desperately want to go to Washington. I think all Fields trade talks were exploratory and that they never really were offering him unless they could get a mini haul back. This is pure conjecture from my own biased interpretation of the little info I have. But I expect the Bears to pull a double trade down. From 1 to 2. Then from 2 to 6 with the Giants
I have been saying that this since the season ended. I think the Bears want Harrison, but just not at number 1.

watching some Keenan stuff from last season and my take is holy shyt Herbert can sling it @IIVI
Yeah dude is insane. Best arm the Bolts have ever had and one of the best current arms as well.

That's why this move is so crazy though. Dude will be 27 soon and is right in the middle of his athletic prime. This is literally most QBs' best shot at a Super Bowl Ring.

We don't got time to make these crazy resets. QB's need safety valves they have chemistry with like him and Keenan had for these play-off runs because rookies like Nabers don't know NFL Play-off Football yet. Then there's the added risk that Nabers is an outright bust, you always got to factor that in. Additionally, no way a rookie steps in and takes over Keenan's spot by himself with zero growing pains.

Again, no problem if you're doing this in Herbert's 2nd or 3rd year. But Herbert now is as old as Josh Allen was last year vs the Bengals. Dude is trying to win now I'm pretty sure. Getting rid of the WR's (who have Play-off experience) he got chemistry with is a little drastic in the middle of a window. That's probably what I'm pissed at the most (and because Keenan is my favorite player on the team).
