There's a few reasons that Biden has had more of an opening to achieve his legislative agenda than Obama. The two major reasons are: (1.) He entered his Presidency in the midst of a global crisis (also one of the reasons FDR had an opening to create a social safety net for America) (2.) The Democratic party, and its Congressional members, have moved further left than they were during Obama's time. It's part of why they have managed to pass landmark legislation with a 50/50 margin in the Senate

Yes, you are right in that race plays a part, it is less easy to depict Pennsylvania Joe as a threat to America than with Obama.

But yet another reason is that Biden's agenda is popular with Americans. The numbers for things like lowering the prices for prescription drugs, raising taxes on corporations and the rich, lowering healthcare costs, expansion of Medicare services for the elderly, etc. are astounding.

My point being, there were a lot of factors outside his control that created an environment with conditions where Biden could implement his agenda. But he deserves a lot of credit for the execution.
You absolutely hit the nail on the head.

I would add that the Congressional Democrats haven't even necessarily moved as far to the Left as the GOP has moved to the right - instead, the GOP's far-right movement has led to a fairly large breakdown in the ability of the parties to "compromise" on more public issues, which has led to Democrats being less willing to trade off on some of those issues.

They were still trying their back-hallway handshake nonsense throughout Obama's presidency until they saw that they were completely stonewalled toward the end. Some of them have learned their lesson - and stopped toeing the line as frequently.

And he did come in at the perfect time to capitalize on the post-Trump disaster.

I mean this is obvious. Democrats aren’t the one who point out his age and mental state, it’s republicans

I think Biden has done a really good job but when I say Biden I mean him and the team he has around him.

And republicans seem more willing to compromise with him than they did Obama (we know why). That’s allowed Biden to get more done which is why his presidency has been more effective than Obama’s in my opinion.
What republicans are compromising ?

He’s old and senile. Have you seen the many clips of him babbling incoherent nonsense? Not to mention the clips of him falling off a bike, falling after tripping his own feet and falling up the stairs.

If it's Biden vs Trump, I don't see the problem. Matter of fact, I pissed off MAGA folks by pointing out that for all the "Joe Biden's got dementia" clips, there's an equally delusional clip of Trump saying craziness. Biden's just less animated about it.

Like Biden getting tongue-tied is actually an improvement from the president that asked about Nuking Hurricanes and Injecting Disinfectants into people. The first is a bad look, but the latter is way more concerning imo.

But a bigger concern to me is that I don't think the Dems have done a great job tee'ing up the next group. Kamala Harris as VP hasn't gotten much shine; Pete Buttigeig is a better speaker than most of the liberal-wing but I don't think his Transportation role has improved his stature in the public eye; and I don't think the two governors with the best shot to step up have gotten enough positive push from the party (Newsome and Whitmer).

The Dems seem bad at setting up their successors. Maybe Jeffries can be the exception, following Pelosi effectively (though, I'm not particularly a fan).

I don't get it either.

How the fukk is that better than any of Biden's gaffes? This dude has the most softball of softball questions and could not answer it without Julezing. He sounds like a college student he come unprepared for his presentation-- but wants to hit the five minute timer.

Pete will never win primaries but he’s only being criticized as Transportation secretary by the unreasonable and unrealistic far left
