A broad church with many one-issue voters will always be a fukking disaster, especially when you try to placate one and all equally.

Surely it is not difficult to establish the most important policy achievements to satisfy the rump of your voter base; ensure that these are realistic and deliverable across the duration of a term; campaign and message on those.

Am I missing something?!

The problem is that nothing is really deliverable. Republicans aren't going to let anything past the Senate as long as Dems are in control.

They're just not. The best Dems can do is Executive Orders and those can only go so far.

Yep, at the moment, very little of any real consequence is actionable outside of EAs.

I suppose that I was speaking to what Dems face with the make-up of the party, and what needs fixing in the process of messaging & campaigning to win.

Better messaging around key issues & key policy action would hopefully lead to better results with swing voters, and in turn hopefully leading to more victories.

Drop all of the fringe shyt - it is absolute self-sabotage,, which the Dems are experts at. Draw a fukking vein diagram if you can’t work out what is unimportant, you imbeciles.

Sorry - feel like I’m on the verge of ranting about everything political. Boris Johnson and his Pyrrhic victory has me a little hot under the collar.
