That’s why I appreciated those Miles Morales movies, even though I don’t like them. There’s not a lot of positive black male representation, and when there is they’re usually rappers or athletes, or something like that that adheres to the hypermasculine stereotypes that society sets out for us, and when that’s not the case they’re simply gay.
