There are a lot of coaches who aren't the Xs and Os guy yet have successful programs because of who they hire and how they manager their team. My issue is that Deion isn't doing any of that and seems to deliberately downplay the very things that COULD make him successful if he tried. This largely just seems like an elaborate plot to just get his son (and Travis) drafted. Nobody else matters. There is no development of talent, no real recruiting, no chemistry. It's every man for himself so the "dawgs" can clique up and talk shyt about their teammates. Same shyt from last year when Deion and his son were shytting on the o-line. Well now you got an entirely new o-line that's bad again...whose fault is that? Where is the coaching and development?
I'd imagine he will last one year without his kids/Travis and then quit before he gets fired. The wild thing is that he COULD have been moderately successful if he put in the work. But he doesn't even recruit players. Nick Saban used to be in granny's living room dancing and eating big mama's mac n cheese but Deion is too good for that? Bragging about not going on recruiting trips is just sucker shyt. More of the flash with no substance. Imagine Deion in some kid's house, showing off the Rolex and explaining to his parents how he's gonna take care of their child. He would be a masterful recruiter. But his ego won't allow it. Pathetic.
