there’s nothing “carefree” nor beneficial about low iq, degenerate ghetto trash becoming the face of black people in society.

:unimpressed:
Who says they are the "face" of black people? W, do you everhy are we constantly looking at individual black people doing something "negative" and saying that represents all of us? HOW?? White people don't do that sh!t! When a white dude walks into a store/school and kills a bunch of people, do you ever hear white people say "damm, he making white people look bad"? NO. Just because they on TV don't make them the face of black people. We got everything from ratchet chicks to Presidents. Lets not even accept that these individuals are the "face of black people in society".

should i plunge my head in the sand and ignore the inescapable fact that sexxy red, meg tha stallion, cardi b (who isn’t black, though no one publicly acknowledges this) and others of their vein comprise the prevailing image of black women that is paraded before the eyes of the masses? are we supposed to ignore that the music they shyt out is the dominant sound consumed by young black women? is the message of “nikkas ain’t shyt, get that bag” embodied by their music harmless?

You don't have to ignore them no. But tell me why you are looking for the defining image of black women...in RAPPERS? Why in the helll would you do that?? Because they are on teLIEvision? Most of what they say is fantasy anyway. What about all the other black female entertainers out there not just in music but in Hollywood? What about those outside of the entertainment industry(probably the worst place to look for positive role models)? Michelle Obamas presence was felt long before and will be felt long after these chicks careers have expired.

I don't know how old you are but Madonna was similar to them. But white people didn't say she represented the face of white people. They took her for what she was, an entertainer, and left it at that. You should do the same. Looking for positive role modes in the entertainment industry will keep you in a state of frustration.

you’re right. i should look to other black female entertainers in hollywood to offset this denigration of black femininity that sexxy red and meg tha stallion reflect.

the media doesn’t exist in a vacuum, its content shaping the minds of those who regularly consume it. what you think is harmless and innocent is actually being used by our enemies to condition black women into acting a certain way and for the rest of society - including black men - to view them accordingly.

In your honest opinion, are most of the black actresses in Hollywood are like this? Or did you just choose the one that was recently involved in controversy? And did you miss what I said about NOT looking at the entertainment industry?
