The economy is gonna suffer after this is all done with regardless, look at NY right now. We're one of the biggest cities that hold lot of the economic power all thoughout the states and everything is shut down. They're currently speaking on opening up stuff but that's only if things get a little better. It's still too early to tell. I'm guessing they're watching other states and whether not their cases start to climb up due to opening up shop.

Yeah... states are definitely waiting to see what their counterparts do first and then plan accordingly. I see both sides, but I think people are marginalizing the fact that 100s of thousands of people literally can't feed their family right now.... and I definitely understand why those people would want some form of normalcy back in place

There's a huge difference between "can" and "does". The ideal temperature for spread is 50 degrees and they've shown that heat and light degrade the virus rather quickly. Sure, some % of the virus "can" survive heat and light, but the more heat and light you subject it to the more it's constantly degrading and becoming less efficient in its spread. You don't have to completely kill it, only make the spread potential less likely, so that the average person who catches it infects 1 or fewer other people. Then it keeps petering out on its own.

By this point it can't be a coincidence that China, Iran, Italy, Spain, France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, New York, Washington, Massachusetts, Michigan, etc. The warm-weather countries just aren't getting hit like that.

Yeah Africa all in all isn't getting hit like that. Maybe like some posters feel it's a lack of testing. There's an upsurge in Confirmed cases but deaths are rather low. We a country of 51 million and have only 14 confirmed deaths and most of those just arrived from another climate..
