I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since the album came out

Time truly does fly by

This album is still such a fresh breathe of air

Insanely dope

I rank Mos higher than most but to me, he has three PERFECT albums that all hit me at the exact right time in my life.

Black Star & BOBS both hit in my highschool years, tryna figure out what being a minority was all about.

Ecstatic when I was living in Orlando as part of the International Disney College Program.

Mos is forever ranked high for me on these three.

Absolute hip hop classic. An example of perfecting true art and love for the game. Should be required listening before younger artists are signed to deals.

This song is so underrated, so relevant, especially when you grew up in BK in the 80s & 90s. While he's referring to intra-BK dynamics (ex. Pink Houses in the 80s & 90s), it definitively is a universal message that applies to when folks go out of town/country and lose common sense.

Bought this when it came out back in the day. The album is kinda underrated to me I don't hear it mentioned much when debating classic albums from the 90s. It did come out at the end of 99 though so perhaps that has something to do with it.

Furthermore, while Mos released some solid projects after this, I still think his career underwhelmed somewhat when you think about what it could've been.
