Because it's helping the fans get them cheaper and these owners are evil.

If you talked to alot of these GMs/owners and told them you got tix for $20, they'd be pissed.

Because the season ticket holders opt to use the third party instead of the Yankees directly, so now they're losing out on money there. Instead of getting tickets for face value from the Yankees Stub Hub will sell them for cheap and sometimes they don't even get sold, so while the tickets get sold, the fans wind up not showing up and thus, not spending money on concessions and food and gear and stuff inside.

For the Yankees, fans win if they wanna get in the building (seats down low still cost a pretty penny). The Knicks /Rangers it doesn't work at all because you still have to suck some dikk just to get in, and for the Nets, let's just say if Dwight Howard had gotten traded there, I coulda turned 15 cent tickets into a shrewd hustle.

Just a funny bit from the Post article tho, attendance is down 4% for both the Mets and Yanks but overall attendance is up 7% across MLB. Not bad for a sport that's supposedly dying.

With the Mets, if you actually buy at the ticket window no extra fees are attached. Online is another story, I think the Mets have some of the highest online fees of any team in the game. I remember last year they were running a deal for one series, it was like $4-5 tickets in decent seats but after online fees it came out to $15.

I hate Randy Levine and Lonn Trost with a passion fukk those fakkits. They couldnt be father off from the truth maybe it's because they made a unfriendly ballpark to fans with dikkhead security guards maybe if they realized half the reason people went was for the atmosphere they wouldnt be in this predicament.

yes, yes this is true.

Always trying to control everything....supply and demand.

DEAL with IT

you can't artificially create demand though.

no one cares about the new stadium anymore. Beers are 10 bucks...the Yankees dont really create any drama, Jeter and Arod have been there forever now....there's nothing "have to see" about the Yanks anymore. You know they're going to be good. And the owners are left with an overpriced over the top Stadium with empty luxury seats.

I smell story plant. I know the Post wants the yanks to look like idiots (they want everyone to look dumb), but what is this article actually accomplishing? It's allowing the fan to gain knowledge of a "cheaper" loophole in the system, thus creating more traffic to stubhub to buy tickets. Win/Win

BTW it's not just the Yankees, it's MLB as a whole who is going to rid themselves of Stubhub very soon.
