This is retarded. I get that Soriano's not coming back, but paying Heath Bell to be a 7th inning guy at best?

And not for nothing, if you were scared of Eduardo Nunez playing defense, he'd be your permanent third baseman unless they make David Adams change positions.

Neither of those players had 5 years and over $120M left on their contract.

If you read the article you would of saw this

Sources close to both organizations confirm the Yankees would pay all – or virtually all – of the $114,000,000 Rodriguez is owed in a contract that runs through the rest of this season and the next five.

:rudy:

The same team that acquired washed griffey and manny wouldn't want a rod when they need a 3rd baseman?

Ken williams always makes dumb trades/acqusitions

:rudy: Sox gave up nothing for Manny and 2 bums for Griffey and didnt have to pay either of them anywhere close to 25 mil per year.

Yeah, shyt would be terrible. The honeymoon between A-Rod and the Yankees brass is coming to a halt though. Something needs to be done eventually.

:whoa: I did NOT see this coming!

I'm a Mets fan so I don't care even though if he got traded to Miami we would have to see this nikka 18 times a year.

The media circus when he would come back to NYC at Citi field to play the Mets would be :heh:

I read the article and it's not happening. Why would we pay his whole salary to have at worst a league average 3B play against us during the year while having to pay for his replacement. Griffey and Manny were like 1/2 year rentals, can't compare that to Arod.

The people that want to get rid of Arod to save the Yankees money that they won't use to sign players is :mindblown: the thing is his numbers aren't that bad for third baseman and his defense is still good .
I understand if they were trying to clear up space for wright in the future or some prospect but they aren't .
Arod is still good for .280/.350 obp 20hr- 75-80 rbis - 10 stl
For a 37 old that's not bad yes he's overpaid but I mean that's the Yankees choice to sign him tough

I agree but these NY fans and the brass seem to want A-Rod to go throw himself into them bushes. In other words for him to get the fukk out. :smh:
