In comparison to rap albums now, her album was good. Especially for a first timer.
No it’s not :mjlol:
We need to dead this assumption, plenty of fantastic rap albums came out, some for the artists debut, she got it because she was popular.
:russ: @ her album being better than Daytona, Kids See Ghosts, DROGAS Wave, Astroworld, KOD or DiCaprio

Nicki ate alone
Put no other women on
Was so fixated on the guys
Got the shock of her life when a silly stripper came out with a smash and it just got I’ll from there...

I never cared too deep about Nicki either way but she became unbearable the past two years. Oh well

:russ: "Greatest hits? I ain't never heard none of them." MOST of those albums/artist you mentioned aren't really mainstream. I could give you Astroworld, but compared to the number of singles that blew up off Cardi's album compared to Astroworld and there is no longer a comparison. LMAO at sliding J.Cole's album in there though...you tried.

So mainstream is what really counts here that's what you're telling me? Cardi could never in her wildest dreams come up with a KOD. KOD was flames and it is an embarrassment that it was overlooked.

I do wonder if she can have as much longevity as Nicki had. Nicki been on the mainstream since 2009 if not 2008. Can Cardi last for 7-8+ more years? We'll see.

It frightens me that Cardi will be around for years to come.
What she has in her favour is she's a Latina, so to cacs she's practically white and they'll push her like they did untalented J-Lo..

Man, yall act like yall were born yesterday. Mainstream music, has ALWAYS been what's considered for Grammy nominations, especially with rap. There were just better albums to choose from.

Astroworld was probably album of the year to me and I don't even like Cardibut Invasion of Privacy had some bangers. :yeshrug:
I'm in BK and Cardi is a damn Goddess to these young chicks here. I can't even imagine what it's like in BX. I was still living by Church Ave and Utica back in April when it dropped and I heard that shyt everywhere. Women AND men were bumping that shyt. Hell, my tenant upstairs would play "Be Careful" at least once a damn day, and his 7 year old daughter used to love that shyt. :heh:
Some of you cats are so out of touch with what happens in the real world it's fukking amazing. :bryan:

Exactly.

I should also clarify, when you're younger it's kind of excusable to be a little cutthroat and overconfident, in fact that's part of the appeal.

However, it can't be maintained into a habit the more your career progresses. The earlier an artist gets humble the better chances they have in the long term.

Even Jay-Z started to be more on some "feel the love" rather than trying to maintain the "best rapper alive" image from the Black Album era. People and peers love to see some emotional growth.

And yet she's absolutely clueless, it's crazy. I've read stories on her arrogance, not sure if they're true. Does she not have anyone to keep her in the realms of reality?

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Nicki had her time in the spotlight but for the last 5+ years it's been the era of wh0res, this lifestyle has been glorified so much that every girl seems to have a premium snapchat now days. So ofcourses it was matter of time before CardiB or another degenerate would have replaced her at some point. Now imagine who replaces Cardi :to:

Rest assured, Cardi's type of rise to riches/notoriety story is a one time deal.

Not going to create residual effects.

B just had the perfect storm go in her favor.

Quote this if i'm wrong... but don't foresee anything like this occurring again. Labels aren't going to strip clubs and plucking future musicians like that or else they would have.

Cardi B opened the lane for all SEX WORKERS to take over an art form that had mentally strong black men making profound statements towards society. Now rap is basically a whores playpen and a gateway to fukk up humanity. :snoop:

Went from respecting black women that didnt engage in that lifestyle, to having stripper thots strongarming the public and social media. Cardi is now the Eric B and Rakim of whoredom in rap. The 2020s and even the 2030s gonna have legit prostitutes and porn stars rapping for a quick come up, and further telling women that education and a career isnt the way to go.

Pimps are no longer needed, hoes are finally free:blessed: Y'all players better step ya game up. Act right and you might get a sniff of the p*ssy:ufdup:No more throwing 1s, 5s, 10s, or 20s in the clubs, it's strictly 100s:ufdup:
