It might be the opposite. I'm not partial to either side of the argument, but male rappers have gotten plenty of hate for having ghost riders, and have been accused of being industry plants. Cardi checks alot of the same industry plant boxes that someone like Chance The Rapper or Drake checks, and doesn't get anywhere near the same amount of hate as them. They got whole threads and conspiracies detailing the rise to fame of certain male rappers. Cardi being a female, and coming from reality TV, people give her a pass because the bar isn't set high for somone they merely view as a stripper and reality tv star turned rapper. So she can check all the industry plant boxes and not get checked for it. Personally, Im kinda happy for her. I hope she can turn her career into more than just 15secs. Multiple number 1 albums are in her future if she can grow as an artist. But, she hasn't gotten the amount of hate than any male artist accused of being an imdustry plant has gotten.
